Our First Christmas Fair

Well it was a first for us, Chutchie Loves went out for the day to exhibit at a Christmas Fair (Chedworth Village Hall, near Cirencester) Without knowing what to expect or who was going to come along, we packed up 2 cars with all our stock and bits and bobs including Mavis the mannequin and not forgetting the copious amount of snacks to keep us fuelled up for the day.

It was an early Sunday morning start but an exciting one. Chutchie (just starting to get the hang of crawling and eating everything in site) was with Daddy daycare (they will probably end up in the pub)

When we arrived it was a mad dash of everyone unloading cars to set up their stalls of beautiful things, we had about an hour before the public were due to arrive. Having never set up a stall before it was a bit of a panic, got the adrenaline going, ate most of the snacks in the process, but we were ready just in time before customers started coming through the door.

It was so lovely meeting other exhibitors, doing a bit of networking, hearing their stories and taking a peak at other stalls.

We had a very successful day for our first fair, lots of really great comments about the Snugs Hand Knit beanies, scarves, jumpers and how well made they all were. It’s nice that people still appreciate hand made items and the work that goes into them especially being made by a local Cotswold knitter and only using the softest Merino and Cashmere wool.

The colourful happy beanies for kids and adults with faux fur pom poms were a real hit as were the matching mum and baby beanie set, they have all gone off to new owners for Christmas, what a lovely present!
